The official X account for "The Apothecary Diaries" anime has announced that "The Apothecary Diaries The Movie" will be released on Friday, December 11, 2026. Along with the announcement, a teaser visual and a trailer were unveiled, sparking a massive conversation among fans.

This film will feature a completely new, original story by the original author, Hyuganatsu. The released trailer begins with a scene where Jinshi (CV: Takeo Otsuka) invites Maomao (CV: Aoi Yuki) on a trip, saying, "Would you like to go on a journey?" Fragments of the story are then revealed through captions. This time, the setting is a bustling waterfront city, and the purpose of the trip is to return the deceased consort's body to her hometown.
