Danganronpa Series Celebrates 15th Anniversary: All 3 Anime Works to Stream Free on ABEMA for 3 Consecutive Weeks Starting July 5

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the hit mystery-action franchise "Danganronpa," ABEMA will stream all three anime series for free over three consecutive weeks starting July 5.

"Danganronpa" is based on Spike Chunsoft's hit mystery-action video game series. It depicts a death-game story in which students said to possess exceptional "Ultimate" talents are trapped in a closed-off school and forced into an extreme school life.

Since the release of the first game, "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc," in 2010, the series has captivated fans with its class-trial gameplay for uncovering the truth and its weighty narrative built around the themes of "hope" and "despair," expanding into TV anime, stage plays, and more. Its distinctive world and shocking story developments continue to draw in many fans.

As part of this free binge-watch project decided to mark the 15th anniversary of the "Danganronpa" franchise, the complete TV anime will be broadcast in sequence over three weeks.

On July 5, "Danganronpa: The Animation" (13 episodes), the work that started the series, will stream for free, followed by the two-part "Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School" — Future Arc (12 episodes) and Despair Arc (12 episodes) — on July 12 and July 19, respectively. Each broadcast episode will remain available to watch for free for one week after airing.
