Fans Accept Total Lack of Summer Vibes for "Kagurabachi's" Cool Metallic Glitter Card Design, Saying "It's Awesome, So Who Cares?"

On the official X account for "Kagurabachi," the design for the Metallic Glitter Card to be distributed during Shueisha's summer manga fair "Natsu-Comi 2026" was revealed, sparking a huge buzz among fans.

"Natsu-Comi" is a fair held every summer since 2003 to help people discover more manga titles, marking its 24th anniversary this year. From July 1st to August 31st, special "Metallic Glitter Cards" (22 types in total) featuring newly drawn illustrations of popular manga alongside the creators' printed autographs will be distributed at approximately 3,400 participating bookstores nationwide.

The revealed card design for "Kagurabachi" features an illustration of Chihiro Rokuhira with a dominant blue color scheme. He is gripping the hilt of his katana, casting a sharp gaze from beneath the shadow of his bangs. The highly sophisticated design leaves fans eager to hold the actual metallic-finished card in their hands.

"Kagurabachi" is a sword-fighting battle action manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" by Takeru Hokazono. The story follows Chihiro Rokuhira, a young boy aspiring to become a swordsmith, who vows revenge against those who killed his father and stole the enchanted blades, plunging into deadly battles against underworld villains with an enchanted blade of his own. Its stylish artwork, cinematic compositions, and powerful action scenes have garnered high acclaim both domestically and internationally.

A total of 22 variations of the Metallic Glitter Cards are available this time, with most of the illustrations from other series embracing the summer season fully, showing characters in yukata, watching fireworks, or eating watermelon and ice cream. However, since the "Kagurabachi" card features absolutely no seasonal elements, fans are amused by its unwavering coolness, with comments such as, "Just checked out the other Metallic Glitter Cards, and Kagurabachi is the only one with zero summer vibes, lol. But hey, it looks awesome, so who cares?" Other high praises include, "The shadow over his eyes is so incredibly cool," "I absolutely need this," and "It’s probably going to sell out super fast depending on the bookstore."
