On the official Jujutsu Kaisen anime X account, a newly drawn illustration for the "Ichiban Kuji Anime Jujutsu Kaisen 5th Anniversary FINAL!" merchandise was unveiled, sparking a strong reaction among fans.
The post announces the same product, set for release on Saturday, September 26. The illustration is divided into four panels: Satoru Gojo (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) smiling with his sunglasses pushed up on his head against a nighttime city backdrop; a school-age Suguru Geto (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai); a relaxed Yuta Okkotsu (voiced by Megumi Ogata) alongside Toge Inumaki (voiced by Koki Uchiyama); Kento Nanami (voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda) rolling up his sleeves and reaching for his watch next to Megumi Fushiguro (voiced by Yuma Uchida); and Choso (voiced by Daisuke Namikawa) seated side by side with Yuji Itadori (voiced by Junya Enoki). The post also states, "What's more, figures and other prizes are on the way!!", raising expectations for a lavish merchandise lineup.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a smash-hit dark fantasy manga by Gege Akutami. To exorcise the monsters known as Curses—born from the negative emotions of humankind—high schooler Yuji Itadori swallows a finger of the special-grade cursed object Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul, and throws himself into a brutal fight alongside his comrades. Its stylish action and unpredictable twists have won overwhelming support from fans around the world.
Fans flooded the illustration with delighted comments: "They look way too good," "I'm absolutely smitten," "No no no no, big bro is way too cool," "Hold on—isn't this Yuta insane?!?!?!" and "Both Satoru Gojo and Okkotsu are total winners, this is unreal." Others had fun imagining the scene behind the illustration, with comments like, "So Gojo-sensei actually took his shades off just for the photo? And I can totally picture Nanamin rolling up his sleeves saying, 'Phew… a photo shoot? This counts as overtime, you know.'" The buzz keeps building ahead of the autumn release.
