Yani-Neko goes to beg a cigarette from her neighbor and junior, Yaku-Neko... Synopsis and preview screenshots released for Episode 2 of the anime "Chainsmoker Cat"

From the new TV anime "Chainsmoker Cat", which is currently broadcasting on TOKYO MX, BS11, AT-X, and other stations, the synopsis and preview screenshots for Episode 2, "My Juniors, Meow," have been released.

This work is based on the manga of the same name by Nyan Nyan Factory, currently serialized in Kodansha's "Young Magazine". Set in a world where humans and therianthropes coexist, it is a comedy that depicts the relaxed yet trashy daily lives of Yani-Neko (CV: Yūko Natsuyoshi), a beast-person who idles her life away smoking cigarettes, and the cat-eared residents around her.

The TV anime "Chainsmoker Cat" has been broadcasting since July 2026 on TOKYO MX and BS11 every Thursday at 24:30, and on AT-X every Saturday at 24:30 starting July 25 (with repeat broadcasts every Thursday at 28:00). It has also been streaming sequentially on Netflix and other streaming sites every Thursday at 25:00 starting July 2.

[Synopsis]
Yani-Neko, who has run out of cigarettes and is craving a smoke, goes to beg a cigarette from her neighbor and junior, Yaku-Neko. Although she gets jerked around by her eccentric junior, the two of them somehow end up hanging out together. However, with suspicious smoke, suspicious behavior, and an all-around sketchy vibe, there is nothing but cause for anxiety no matter how you look at it. In the midst of this, after being suggested to get a part-time job, Yani-Neko begins to lecture Yaku-Neko on "how to live freely." Following your own style is fine and dandy, but for now, just get a job, Yani-Neko. For the sake of tomorrow's cigarettes.
