"The Destructive Power of Black Suits" - Jujutsu Kaisen Anime’s New Suit-Clad Illustration Sparks Massive Response: "The Strongest Duo is Huge and Scary as Expected"

On the official X account for the "Jujutsu Kaisen" anime, it was announced that the "POP UP SHOP Vol. 2 in OIOI" will be held starting July 18, 2026, to celebrate the anime's 5th anniversary. Along with this announcement, a newly drawn illustration of the characters in suits has been released, following the first volume, and it is drawing a lot of attention.

The released image features four characters—Yuta Okkotsu (CV: Megumi Ogata), Toge Inumaki (CV: Koki Uchiyama), Satoru Gojo (CV: Yūichi Nakamura), and Suguru Geto (CV: Takahiro Sakurai)—all dressed in black suits. Okkotsu and Inumaki are wearing calm green ties, while Gojo sports a blue tie paired with round sunglasses, and Geto wears a black tie. In particular, Gojo and Geto are standing side by side, striking a pose with their hands widely spread forward, creating a full-body composition that accentuates their tall stature and great proportions.

"Jujutsu Kaisen" is a dark fantasy anime based on the manga by Gege Akutami, with animation produced by MAPPA. It tells the story of Yuji Itadori (CV: Junya Enoki), a high school student who swallows a finger of the Special Grade Cursed Object "Ryomen Sukuna," hosting a curse within his own soul to exorcise "Cursed Spirits"—monsters born from human negative emotions—and throws himself into harsh battles alongside his allies. Its stylish action and unpredictable plot developments have garnered immense support from all over the world.

In response to this post, fans have shared enthusiastic comments such as, "Suits for someone other than Hara-moto!?!? Note that "Hara-moto," referred to by fans, is an abbreviation for "Harattare Honpo," a stand-up comedy duo formed by Gojo and Geto that previously appeared in an official April Fools' project. It seems many fans associated the two in suits this time with that specific concept.
