New 'Fureai' Feature Lets You Pet and Tickle Chiikawa! 'Chiikawa Pocket' App to Hold Hands-On Events Nationwide

Chiikawa's first smartphone app, "Chiikawa Pocket," will add a new "Fureai" (interaction) feature around fall 2026. Additionally, ahead of the new feature's pre-release on July 24, a display called "Big Smartphone," where users can try out the new feature, will be set up at 28 locations nationwide starting July 10.

The game is based on "Chiikawa," the popular manga series illustrator Nagano posts on X, and is a smartphone game app built around the concept of "always being together with the Chiikawa characters, anytime, anywhere," packed with activities that let players feel the world of the series. It has been available in 43 countries and regions worldwide since March 27, 2025.

The Long-Awaited New "Fureai" Feature Has Been Confirmed

A new "Fureai" feature that lets players enjoy daily life together with Chiikawa is coming to "Chiikawa Pocket." The feature will add "Care," which lets you feed Chiikawa and give it baths, and "Coordinate," which lets you dress Chiikawa in various outfits and rearrange furniture, as well as functions that let you pet and tickle Chiikawa.

Ahead of the feature's official release, a trial version will be pre-released on July 24. In the trial version, players will be able to try out the feature's main elements, including "Care" and "Coordinate."

*Currently, Chiikawa is the only character playable in the "Fureai" feature.
