The Zombie Land Saga Film Production Committee, which produces the anime series Zombie Land Saga, and Saga City in Saga Prefecture, the setting of the series, have signed a partnership agreement. An announcement ceremony was held on July 10 at Saga City Hall, where voice actor Kaede Hondo, who plays Sakura Minamoto, and Mayor Sakai took the stage.

Zombie Land Saga is an anime series that depicts girls who have been resurrected as zombies across different eras, working together as the local idol group Franchouchou to save Saga Prefecture. Since its first season aired in 2018, the series has gained popularity through numerous live events and a feature film released in October 2025.

The partnership agreement was signed to promote the appeal of Saga City and build momentum ahead of "Zombie Land Saga 2027 in SAGA Arena (tentative title)," an anime cast appearance event scheduled to be held at SAGA Arena in Saga City on April 24 and 25, 2027.

At the announcement ceremony, Mayor Sakai expressed gratitude that the appeal of Saga has been conveyed nationwide through the series, commenting, "I hope that this partnership agreement will serve as an opportunity for us to pursue even more initiatives than before." Looking back on having visited Saga Prefecture around 15 times since the TV anime began airing, Hondo shared her outlook for the future, saying, "I hope that this partnership agreement will be a chance to further expand our efforts to bring Saga's charm to even more people, going beyond the boundaries of the series."
