Rudeus Begs Roxy to Teach Him King-Rank Water Magic... Preview Scene Cuts Released for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 Episode 4

Preview scene cuts have been released for Episode 4, "The King-Rank Water Mage," of the TV anime's third season, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3, airing Sunday, July 19.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is based on the light novel by Rifujin na Magonote, which began serialization on the novel submission site "Shosetsuka ni Narou" in 2012. The story follows a 34-year-old unemployed, single shut-in NEET who is kicked out of his family's home and eventually dies in a traffic accident, only to be reincarnated in a world of swords and magic as Rudeus Greyrat (voiced by Yumi Uchiyama). Drawing on the memories and regrets of his past life, he vows to "live seriously this time" as the fantasy story depicts his sweeping adventures. The series has sold over 18 million copies cumulatively, and 2026 marks the fifth anniversary of its anime adaptation.

The TV anime's third season began airing last Saturday, July 4. Episodes 1 and 2, known as the "Eris Training Arc," depicted heroine Eris Greyrat (voiced by Ai Kakuma) growing through her sword training. Starting with Episode 3, which aired Sunday, July 12, the focus shifted to protagonist Rudeus in the "Rudeus's Youth Arc."

■Episode 4: "The King-Rank Water Mage" [Synopsis]
With help from Zanoba and Cliff, Rudeus has obtained a new prosthetic left hand, the "Zariff Arm." Yet danger to his family could loom again at any time. Driven by his resolve to "never lose anyone again," Rudeus presses on with his research and finally begs Roxy to teach him King-rank Water magic.
