Fans swoon over depiction of goldfish turning into bombs: Delight over new Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc MAPPA EXPO illustration — "I'll never forget Reze and that summer for the rest of my life"

On the official X account for MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary, a newly drawn exhibition illustration for Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc was revealed, creating a huge buzz. The published visual features a pair of illustrations depicting the protagonist Denji (VA: Kikunosuke Toya) and Reze (VA: Reina Ueda) respectively, drawing passionate attention from fans.

In the post, the illustration was unveiled with the tag "#MAPPAEXPO Information Release 2/5," and it was also announced that merchandise featuring this illustration is scheduled to be released sequentially. Furthermore, it was announced that the second advance lottery application for the first-half entry tickets for the exhibition, held at YURAKUCHO MUSEUM from Wednesday, September 16 to Monday, December 7, is currently open.

The unveiled images consist of an illustration of Denji based in red, and Reze based in blue. In Denji's illustration, he is drawn pulling his necktie, with his shadow in the background forming the silhouette of Chainsaw Man. On the other hand, in Reze's illustration, her background shadow forms the silhouette of Bomb, and a very distinctive, carefully crafted visual effect is applied where goldfish swimming from top to bottom gradually transform into bombs as they move downward.

Chainsaw Man is a hit anime series based on the popular manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto. To pay off the debt left by his parents, Denji, a young boy living as a devil hunter alongside Pochita, the "Chainsaw Devil," is betrayed and killed one day. However, he makes a contract with Pochita and is resurrected as "Chainsaw Man," possessing a devil's heart, throwing himself into brutal battles as a Public Safety Devil Hunter in this dark hero action series.
