[Photos/Images] This Old Man Was Super Hardcore! Episode 16 of "Daemons of the Shadow Realm": Kagemori Gonzō's "Cheating-Level" Battle Scene Elicits Responses Like "He's Too Much of a Monster" and "Powerful Old Guy Characters Are So Hype" 1st

Episode 16 of the anime "Daemons of the Shadow Realm," based on the hit manga by Hiromu Arakawa (known for "Fullmetal Alchemist"), has been airing sequentially since July 25. Kagemori Gonzō (CV: Hiroshi Iwasaki), the current head of the Kagemori family, finally joined the battle, surprising viewers with a "hardcore" combat prowess unexpected of an elderly man.

In Episode 16, "Kagemori and Shingo," Gonzō personally came out to the battlefield. Usually acting like a kindly old man, Gonzō transformed completely in battle mode! Boldly declaring, "I'll take you on, so call out all your buddies!", he intimidated the enemy group with his overwhelming strength, leaving them flabbergasted: "What's with this old guy?!" Meanwhile, an ordinary person on the scene who couldn't see daemons was left dumbfounded, remarking, "Some old guy over there is shadowboxing, and buildings crumble every time he swings a punch."

While the ability of Gonzō's daemons remains unknown, he appears to make possible a "cheat-tier" scenario of contracting with multiple pairs of daemons. Furthermore, although he brings a large horde of daemons along, Gonzō himself employs a fight style of swinging his own fists.

In response to Gonzō's exhilarating combat scene, reactions spread across social media with comments like: "Gonzō-jīsan is way too much of a monster," "Gonzō going wild with a horde of daemons... he's truly a super old guy!", "Elderly characters in Arakawa's works are always strong, but Gonzō is in a league of his own," and "Love it! Powerful old guy characters get me so hyped." The background music playing during Gonzō's entrance into battle was also well received, with viewers praising it: "It sounds like festival music, so good~"
