Alongside this, the Season 3 key visual and information on new characters and cast have been revealed, drawing attention on social media with comments such as "the new voice actor guests are incredible."

Ranma 1/2 is a martial arts romantic comedy by Rumiko Takahashi that ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1987 to 1996. The story centers on Ranma Saotome, who developed a strange condition during training in China that turns him into a girl when splashed with cold water and back into a boy when splashed with hot water, and his fiancée Akane Tendo, as the two get swept up in one madcap incident after another. As an entirely new anime adaptation, Season 1 aired from October 2024 and Season 2 from October 2025.

The newly unveiled Season 3 key visual depicts Ranma, Akane and Ryoga at the center, surrounded by the characters who will appear in the new season.

As newly announced additions to the cast, Masako Nozawa will play the Grandmaster of the Daimonji School of Combative Tea Ceremony, Jun Fukuyama will play Sentaro Daimonji, and Minami Tanaka will play Tsubasa Kurenai, who has feelings for Ukyo. It has also been announced that Mayumi Tanaka and Saori Hayami will join the cast as characters whose names have not yet been revealed.

The announcement drew reactions of surprise online over the new additions, with comments such as "the new voice actor guests are absurdly lavish" and "Masako Nozawa and Mayumi Tanaka, of all people." The key visual also sparked speculation about Season 3's story, with comments including "thank you for cool Ranma effortlessly lifting Akane up," "the way Ucchan looks at Tsubasa is so good...," "isn't that Kyu and Pit in the top right...!? Are they really doing that legendary episode...!?" and "wait... if Shirokuro is there, does that mean Iiko is too!?" — all adding to the excitement.
