Yanineko Summons the "Nicotine Demon"! Synopsis and First-Look Stills for Anime Chainsmoker Cat Episode 7 Revealed

TOKYO MX, BS11, AT-X and other channels are currently airing the TV anime Chainsmoker Cat. The synopsis, first-look stills, and trailer for Episode 7, "I Was Born From a Parent Too, Meow," have been released.

The series is based on the manga of the same name by Nyan Nyan Factory, serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine. Set in a world where humans and beastfolk coexist, it is a comedy depicting the laid-back, slovenly daily life of Yanineko (voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi), a chain-smoking beastfolk who drifts through life doing next to nothing, and the cat-eared residents around him.

The TV anime Chainsmoker Cat has been airing since July 2026, every Thursday at 24:30 on TOKYO MX and BS11, and every Saturday at 24:30 on AT-X since July 25 (with repeat broadcasts every Thursday from 28:00). It has also been streaming on Netflix and other platforms every Thursday from 25:00 since July 2.

Episode 7, "I Was Born From a Parent Too, Meow" [Synopsis]
Yanineko, a restless sleeper, accidentally draws a magic circle that summons the "Nicotine Demon"! But the demon can't stand how filthy and unsanitary the room is and bounces right back out... While the world is saved by a messy room, Yanineko, who wants to earn a lot of money, takes a cleaning job at a suspicious underground facility through a staffing agency. This guy is always up to something like this. Meanwhile, the landlord kindly tries to take in Penpen-neko, whose home was swept away in a typhoon, into the apartment, but an unexpected accident occurs. Please, just don't.
