Blue Box Season 2 Unveils Main Visual and PV, Sparking "Even the PV Alone Made Me Cry" Reactions

Ahead of its broadcast starting in October, the latest information on Blue Box Season 2 has been unveiled. Along with the main visual and main PV, details on the series' theme songs and streaming have also been revealed. Fans who watched the main PV have reacted with comments like "Even the PV alone made me cry," sparking major buzz.

Blue Box is a youth sports rom-com serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump by Kouji Miura. Set at a combined junior-and-senior-high school known for its strong sports programs, the story begins when Taiki Inomata, a member of the boys' badminton team, falls in love with Chinatsu Kano, a year above him and the ace of the girls' basketball team. Due to certain circumstances, Chinatsu ends up living with the Inomata family, and the series has won fans over with its heartfelt portrayal of characters earnestly devoted to both their sports and their feelings, along with its refreshing atmosphere.

The Season 2 main visual, which hints at a dramatic story to come, depicts Chinatsu lying in the snow amid the quiet stillness of winter. Her eyes, gazing straight ahead and filled with a striking brightness, leave a strong impression, offering a glimpse of the dramatic developments in store for Season 2.

The long-awaited main PV, packed with the latest footage, introduces new character Yumeka, who stirs up trouble for Taiki and Chinatsu and sets the story firmly in motion. It depicts how the characters' relationships and wavering feelings shift along with the changing seasons, unfolding through emotional developments. The video condenses the highlights of Season 2 into a single trailer.

The theme songs were also announced: the opening theme is aiko's "Anata no Hana no Iro," and the ending theme is Elsewhere Kikou's "blue in."

The announcement sparked an outpouring of praise on social media, with comments like "I can't wait!! The ending is so good" and "I'm so happy the confession scene is getting animated!", along with anticipation for how other memorable scenes will be brought to life.
