Kagurabachi, the anime adaptation of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump next-generation flagship series, has announced that from September it will hold the second leg of its world tour, screening the first 20 minutes of Episode 1 at conventions in Johannesburg and Melbourne.
Kagurabachi, originally created by Takeru Hokazono, is a hit series whose comics have sold over 4 million copies in total (including digital editions). For the TV anime adaptation, animation production is being handled by Cypic (Umamusume: Cinderella Gray, The Summer Hikaru Died), part of the CyberAgent Group.
The director is Tetsuya Takeuchi, known for his work on Sword Art Online II (action animation director) and Heavenly Delusion (battle scene storyboards, direction, and animation direction), while character design is handled by Keigo Sasaki, known for Blue Exorcist and The Seven Deadly Sins, bringing together a star-studded creative team. The role of protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira is played by Taihi Kimura, winner of the Best Rookie Voice Actor Award at the 2025 Seiyu Awards.
Following the first leg of the world tour, which kicked off in July, the second leg has now been confirmed. The first 20 minutes of Episode 1 will be screened at the "Comic Con Africa" (Johannesburg) and "PAX Aus" (Melbourne) conventions, along with special panels featuring the anime's producer.
