Looking Back on 10 Years of Story from Zero! TV Anime "Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-" Exhibition Report

The "TV Anime 'Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-' Exhibition -10th Anniversary-" has been held at the Shibuya BEAM Gallery in Tokyo since September 12th. This exhibition looks back on the journey of the protagonist Natsuki Subaru and his companions, spanning from the 1st season of the TV anime broadcast in April 2016 to the currently airing 4th season.

In this article, we will introduce the highlights of the exhibition, focusing on photos taken at the private viewing held prior to the opening.

At the opening theater in the exhibition hall, the world of "Re:ZERO," broadcast over the past 10 years, was compiled into an opening video. The exhibition is divided into areas by season, allowing visitors to look back on the story while enjoying columns written by the production staff and cast members.

In the 1st season area, a photo spot recreating the "Unseen Hand," the authority of Petelgeuse, the Sin Archbishop of Sloth, catches the eye. You can take an impactful commemorative photo sitting right on the palm of the hand.

In the 2nd season area exhibition, a memorial theater makes an appearance, recreating episode 49, "Choose Me," which received the most votes in a best-scene poll spanning the 1st through 3rd seasons. Visitors will be able to relive one of the absolute best scenes between Subaru and Beatrice.

Furthermore, you can also take photos of a swarm of the "Great Rabbit," one of the Three Great Mabeasts alongside the "White Whale" and the "Black Serpent."

Stepping into the 3rd season area, a large diorama of the Water Gate City of Priestella, the setting for the season, is on display. You can also view the battle scene of Garfiel vs. Kurgan from episode 63, "A Warrior's Praise," alongside original key animation drawings and line test footage.

The 4th season area also features the scene with the two Subarus from episode 82, "Natsuki Subaru," summarizing the episodes up to the most recent broadcast.

In the Memorial Gallery, various memorabilia are on display, including Subaru's track jacket. There is also a spot where you can listen to the audition audio of Yusuke Kobayashi (Subaru's voice actor) and Rie Takahashi (Emilia's voice actress), making it a must-listen for fans.

At the 10th Anniversary photo spot, standees of 10 characters featuring newly drawn illustrations for this exhibition are lined up.

Finally, in the merchandise area, you can purchase various goods featuring the newly drawn illustrations. Successive pachinko and slot machines, as well as statues of Subaru and Emilia, are also on display.
