"So Much Cute and Cool!" Ranma 1/2 Season 3 OP & ED Theme Songs Confirmed, Third PV Depicting Romance Sparks Buzz

The anime Ranma 1/2 Season 3 has revealed its opening and ending theme songs along with a third PV, and fans are already responding enthusiastically, with comments such as "the animation is too good."

Ranma 1/2 is a martial arts romantic comedy by Rumiko Takahashi that ran in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1987 to 1996. It follows the chaotic antics of Ranma Saotome, who, during training in China, ended up with a strange condition that turns him into a girl when splashed with cold water and back into a boy with hot water, and his fiancée Akane Tendo. As an entirely new anime adaptation, Season 1 aired from October 2024, and Season 2 aired from October 2025.

The opening theme was decided to be "Sunao Miman" by next-generation singer-songwriter Fumino, while the ending theme will be "Kawaikunai" by Yuika, a singer-songwriter popular among teens. The accompanying third PV offers a glimpse of the romance unfolding in Season 3, centered on Ranma, Akane, and Ryoga, while also introducing a string of new characters. Scene after scene lives up to its reputation as a "chaotic martial arts romantic comedy." The footage also marks the first reveal of both theme songs' audio, letting viewers hear part of the tracks ahead of the broadcast.

Following this announcement and the PV release, social media has been flooded with praise such as "Wow, everyone looks so cute and cool! The animation has really leveled up!" and "The animation, OP, and ED are all so amazing I'm crying." There have also been comments touching on the characters' appeal, like "So much cute and cool!" and "Akane crying is way too cute," as well as remarks raising anticipation for Season 3's story, such as "There's apparently a sister-related episode that wasn't in the previous anime?! I'm so happy about that!"
