'Anya and Bond Are So Cute': SPY x FAMILY Creator's Cheering Illustration for Musical Sparks Reaction, Cast Delighted Too

Manga artist Tatsuya Endo updated his X account and released a cheering illustration to mark the opening of the musical SPY x FAMILY 2 (Bomb Dog Arc & Luxury Cruise Arc), running through October 29. The adorable illustration, depicting Anya Forger holding pom-poms and Bond holding a megaphone as if cheering on the production's opening, drew a wave of reactions.

SPY x FAMILY is a manga currently serialized on Shueisha's webcomic platform Shonen Jump+. The story follows a spy, an assassin, and a psychic girl who form a fake family for their own respective purposes and face everyday troubles together. The series has expanded into a wide range of media, including a TV anime adaptation, theatrical anime films, a stage musical, and video games.

The image, posted as a quote of the official Musical SPY x FAMILY X account's post announcing opening day, depicts Bond leaping up with a megaphone in his mouth and Anya jumping just as energetically while holding up pom-poms in both hands. Anya shouts "Fight-o!" while wearing her usual blank expression, making for a humorous, pop-style cheering illustration overflowing with Endo's love for his characters.

In response to the post, fans shared comments such as, "Seeing Bond and the Anyas interact brought me to tears. I hope I can watch the show at the same venue as Endo someday...," "Anya and Bond are so cute," and "It's wonderful that the creator is cheering on the musical!!" Cast members also reacted. Fuka Yuzuki, who plays Yor Forger, posted, "Wow, so cute! Thank you, Endo!!" and Kanau Kozano, who plays Anya, commented on her official X account, "Thank you for the 'Fight-o!', Endo!"
