"Please Stop Making Azami Any More Appealing" Yuichi Nakamura Voices Soshiro Azami in Kagurabachi Anime, and Character PV Draws Praise: "The Voice Is Too Cool"

It has been announced that voice actor Yuichi Nakamura will play Soshiro Azami in the TV anime Kagurabachi, with the character visual, a character PV and cast comments now released. The video, featuring a star-studded voice cast, is drawing attention among fans.

Kagurabachi is based on the manga by Takeru Hokazono, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. The story follows Chihiro Rokuhira (voiced by Taihi Kimura), a young man whose father was killed and whose demon blades were stolen, as he takes the last demon blade his father left behind and walks the path of revenge in a neo-Japanese sword action series. The manga has surpassed 4 million copies in cumulative circulation, and the TV anime is scheduled to begin airing in April 2027. Animation production is handled by Cypic.

The newly announced Soshiro Azami is a sorcerer belonging to the sorcerer organization Kamunabi, and one of the few people who know of Chihiro's existence, which has been kept hidden from the public. He possesses the brute strength to overwhelm opponents with crushing, bone-breaking force, and is one of the most exceptionally skilled members even within Kamunabi. Nakamura, who plays Azami, commented on the character: "He feels like a realist, in contrast to the romantic Shiba," and "I see him as a character who is serious, yet also has a touch of dryness." He also described the appeal of the series in a single word, "Brilliance!", and spoke of his anticipation and enthusiasm for the action and the world of the work.

In response to the announcement, social media users have posted comments such as "The cast is absurdly stacked, lol," "I can't stop laughing at the thought of hearing 'Villains, die here' in Yuichi Nakamura's voice," "The voice is way too cool," "This is bad, he's going to take me out sooner or later," "No, this is bad. Please stop making Azami any more appealing, it's driving me crazy," "I love 'overwhelming bone-breaking force' so much," "Yuichi Nakamura, a name you can trust," and "I haven't read the manga, but it's Yuichi Nakamura, so he must be the strongest character."
