The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 Non-Credit Opening by Yorushika Released! Maomao Voice Actor Aoi Yuki Praises It as "Foreshadowing What's to Come"

Season 3 of the TV anime The Apothecary Diaries will begin airing at 11 p.m. on Friday, October 2. Ahead of the premiere, the non-credit opening video for the opening theme "Kumo wo Nuke Kazashimo e Watashidake" by Yorushika has been released.

The video was directed by animator Ayaka Nakata, who also created the visuals for the Season 2 opening theme "Hyakkaryōran." Set to literary lyrics and a light, airy sound, it is packed with hints that foreshadow the story of Season 3, including an eerie white snake and a moon glowing in the night sky. Aoi Yuki, the voice of Maomao, watched the video early at an advance screening held on September 27 and shared her praise: "Once again it is full of expressions that make you think, 'I never would have seen it that way,' and it hints at what is to come. It filled my heart."

The non-credit video for the ending theme is scheduled to be released on YouTube at midnight on Saturday, October 3, after the first Season 3 episode airs.

In addition, it has been announced that the Season 3 Blu-ray series of The Apothecary Diaries will be released in four volumes in sequence, starting on Wednesday, February 17, 2027. The limited first-press edition comes in a special slipcase and a newly illustrated digipak, and Volume 1 includes a special booklet and the "Maomao's Monologue" mini-character special Pepashaka. Volume 1 will also include various Season 3 promotional videos as well as the non-credit opening and ending in both the first-press and standard editions.

Participating stores will offer original bonuses featuring newly drawn illustrations, and some stores will also run campaigns with a chance to win items bearing cast autographs.
