[Photos/Images] "Rin Looks So Good Cackling!" Girl Meets Rock! Volume 12 Out Now, and the "Evil-Faced Girl" Drawn by Jujutsu Kaisen's Gege Akutami Becomes a Hot Topic 1st

Girl Meets Rock!'s official X account has shared information commemorating the release of Volume 12 of Girl Meets Rock!. Jujutsu Kaisen author Gege Akutami contributed what the account calls "not an obi comment, but an obi manga," an unusually lavish cover band that has drawn a big response from fans.

The image that was shared shows the cover of Volume 12. The obi, the promotional band wrapped around the cover that depicts Rin Kōyama in a blue blazer holding a bass, carries the words "Jujutsu Kaisen, Praised by Gege Akutami" along with a newly drawn illustration of Kōyama by Akutami. As Kōyama says with a scheming look, "I have high hopes...!!" and "To coincide with the fourth season of the Jujutsu anime, we're unveiling Akutami's obi!!", a retort cuts in: "(I already drew it, you idiot!!)" The result is a manga-style obi that combines the artist's distinctive touch with humor.

Fans have responded to the post with comments such as "Our Rin is finally invading the world of Jujutsu Kaisen," "I love the evil-faced girls Akutami draws," "Rin looks so good cackling," and "Rin drawn by Gege Akutami is incredible."
