Mikey Swallowed by Darkness, Too! Tokyo Revengers: War of the Three Titans Arc OP and ED Visuals Spark Buzz: 'Beautiful No Matter Where You Pause'

Non-credit opening and ending visuals have been released for the TV anime Tokyo Revengers: Three Deities Arc, which began airing on October 2. The unveiling of these strikingly artistic visuals, unlike anything the series has shown before, is drawing attention from fans.

The opening visuals are set to the theme song "IGNITE" by JO1. They depict the Tokyo Manji Gang members setting out on a new path, Takemichi and the others reflecting on memories of the past, such as Mikey's smile from days gone by, and the fierce new conflict about to begin. Meanwhile, the visuals for the ending theme "Trick Star" by go!go!vanillas begin with a videotape, a key item in the story, and vividly express the contrast of light and shadow between the Tokyo Manji Gang members and Mikey, as well as the hand reaching out to Mikey as he is swallowed by dark impulses.

Reactions to the OP visuals on social media include: "Wait, the style changed?! The animation and the whole vibe look so much cooler," "This might be the coolest of all the Tokyo Revengers openings," "It's clearly the most elaborate opening so far, and it blew me away," and "It's beautiful no matter where you pause." As for the ED visuals, fans commented: "Everyone else is colored in all kinds of bright colors, but only Mikey is solid black. I love how this ED is from Mikey's perspective," "The way it expresses contrast is genius," "A direction that makes you realize Takemichi is light itself to Mikey," "I love the feeling that everything starts from that videotape," and "The anime has only just started and I'm already crying at the OP and ED."

In addition, the series' Blu-ray and DVD release has been announced, and pre-orders have begun. The set consists of three volumes, to be released in sequence: Volume 1 on January 27, 2027, Volume 2 on February 24, 2027, and Volume 3 on March 24, 2027. Each volume includes bonus footage in addition to the main episodes. Volume 1 contains the full footage of "Dachi Live," Volume 2 contains the full footage of "Dachi Live 2," and Volume 3 contains the non-credit OP and ED along with the digest footage of the "Anime Adaptation Announcement 4th Anniversary & Formation Commemoration Event 'Matsudo Touring.'" The lineup of original bonus items for each retailer is also now available.
