Brand-New Anime Naruto x NINKŪ Announced, With a New Naruto Manga Also Revealed

At a special stage at New York Comic Con 2026, held in New York on October 10 local time, production of Naruto x NINKŪ, a brand-new anime crossover between Naruto and NINKŪ, was announced. Junko Takeuchi (voice of Naruto Uzumaki), Noriaki Sugiyama (voice of Sasuke Uchiha), and Studio Pierrot executive producer Yoshihiro Tominaga took the stage, where the teaser trailer and the collaboration visual were unveiled for the first time.

Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto has been deeply influenced by NINKŪ, and is said to feel so strongly about it that he says, "Fūsuke is Naruto's hidden master." The series will run for four episodes, with every episode supervised by Kishimoto and by Koji Kiriyama, creator of NINKŪ. The story follows Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, who become lost in another world after Naruto is made acting team leader in place of Kakashi, and meet Fūsuke there.

Noriyuki Abe, who directed the TV anime NINKŪ and BORUTO -NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS-, and Tetsuya Nishio, who served as character designer and chief animation director on the TV anime NINKŪ and the Naruto series, are also working on the production. Messages of joy have come in from Kiriyama, Kishimoto, and others.

At the end of the event, a new Naruto manga drawn by Kishimoto was also announced as a surprise, and a super teaser trailer was released. In addition, PROJECT RASENGAN, a large-scale project outlining future developments, has been launched. The NARUTO CARD GAME will go on sale worldwide simultaneously in June 2027, and updates were also given on a smartphone game for worldwide release and on the live-action Hollywood film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. News on each project is scheduled to be announced at Jump Festa 2027, held on December 19 and 20.
