New Film Aikatsu Stars! Hoshiboshi no Progress Set for January 22, 2027 Release; Key Visual and Main Trailer Unveiled

The new film Aikatsu Stars! Hoshiboshi no Progress will open in theaters across Japan on Friday, January 22, 2027. A key visual and the main trailer have also been revealed for the first time.

The film is being produced as part of a project marking the 10th anniversary of the franchise's TV broadcast debut in 2016. It follows Yume Nijino and her classmates, who are about to graduate, as they receive an invitation from Elza of Neo Venus Ark to perform at Venus Jamboree, a live event gathering top idols from around the world, and keep up their Aikatsu! together with their friends.

The newly released key visual depicts Yume and her friends moving forward toward their respective futures, and the main trailer features new footage along with a first listen to part of the film's theme song, "Five stars."

In addition, Hana Ogi, Hitomi Suzuki, and Shiori Nagata of the female idol group ≠ME have been named members of the film's official "promotion club," which supports the film. Starting with a commentary video first shown at a fan meeting, they plan to share the film's appeal through a variety of projects and promotions going forward.

Sales of the second round of Mubichike movie ticket cards will also begin on October 23. As a purchase bonus, a set of five "Star Postcards" (randomly chosen from three designs in total) will be given away in limited quantities.
