"I Love Bridget and Always Wanted to Do This!" Hoshigaki Shows Off a Long-Awaited Guilty Gear Cosplay

TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026 was held September 17-21, 2026 (the 21st was online-only) at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. We feature photos of Hoshigaki, who attended as Bridget from the Guilty Gear series, and ask about the points they paid attention to in the cosplay and the cosplay they would like to try next.

——What made you want to cosplay Bridget from the Guilty Gear series this time?

Hoshigaki (honorifics omitted hereafter): It started in high school, when my older brother was playing Guilty Gear! I love Bridget and always dreamed of cosplaying her someday, and my wish has finally come true!

——What did you want to express with this cosplay, and what are you most pleased with?

Hoshigaki: Since it's a fighting game, she fights with big, bold moves, but I went with the motto "cute at the same time!" My favorite part is, of course, the big yo-yo!

——Please tell us when and how you first came across Guilty Gear, and what you find appealing about it.

Hoshigaki: It was about 10 years ago, through the game my brother was playing! The best thing about it is how strong each character's personality is! The costume designs are so unique that they get me excited!
