'Service Scene': Official 'Frieren: Beyond Journey's End' Account Shares Photo of Frieren at an Open-Air Bath, Fans React: 'Popsicle After the Bath Again?!'

A photo titled "Frieren in the Bath" has been posted on the official X account for Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, and it has become a hot topic among fans. Many reactions have poured in to the photo of Frieren pictured with what appears to be a bath at a hot spring inn.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is a fantasy manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. Set in the world "after" the Demon King has been defeated by the hero's party, it follows Frieren, an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years, as she sets out on a "journey to understand people" following the death of a former companion. The manga has been a major hit, and the franchise has expanded widely across media, including a TV anime adaptation. So far, Season 1 and Season 2 of the TV anime have aired, and it has been announced that Season 3, the "Golden Land Arc," will begin airing in October 2027.

The photo shows a Frieren plush toy posed as if taking a selfie in front of an octagonal bath that appears to be an open-air bath. Before that post, a photo of what looks like Frieren enjoying a dinner at the inn had also been posted, suggesting that she seems to be thoroughly enjoying the hot spring.

Fans replied to the post with comments such as "Lucky, an open-air bath!," "Floren" (a pun on "furo," meaning bath, and Frieren)," and "Frieren in the hot spring town," as well as remarks likening it to a scene from the past, like "Popsicle after the bath again?!" Others simply commented "Service scene."
