New Precure Spinoff Themed on "Villains"?! TV Anime Dual Shadow ~Precure Villain Heroines~ Set to Air in 2027, Ominous Super Teaser PV Released

The production of Dual Shadow ~Precure Villain Heroines~, a new spinoff TV anime in the Precure series, has been announced, set to air in 2027.

The Precure series has produced 23 titles so far, from Futari wa Precure, which began airing in 2004, to Star Detective Precure!, currently on the air. Across changing motifs and themes, the series has depicted protagonists who transform into Precure to defend their everyday lives against enemies, growing as they deepen their friendships and bonds with their companions.

The latest spinoff in the series, this project brings a new direction with completely original characters and an original story unlike any previous title. It carries the keyword "Villain," which overturns the image of Precure, making it a new animation that upends the expectations of fans who have enjoyed the series so far.

The super teaser PV released alongside the production announcement shifts from the bright atmosphere of a field of flowers stretching out in every direction. Accompanied by the text "After all, we're not Precure," a single flower in a spotlight sways eerily in the wind while an ominous eye emerges behind it, painting an unsettling world that is the polar opposite of the Precure series to date.
