The TV anime Destiny Unchain Online has been confirmed to premiere in 2027. Alongside the announcement, a new key visual and a teaser PV have been released, and the anime's official website has opened.

The anime is based on a VRMMORPG battle fantasy manga serialized on Kodansha's official manga app, Magazine Pocket. Kou Mitsuki, a middle school boy and skilled gamer, takes on the test play of Destiny Unchain Online, a new VRMMORPG developed by his father, in an eventful game-life fantasy. Landing in an unfamiliar frontier, Kou finds himself in the avatar of a lovely vampire girl despite the game's rule that gender cannot be changed. Facing the crisis of being unable to log out, Kou must survive in the game world as "Crim." The story depicts fierce battles against unprecedented foes, group combat with allies (GvG), and the pursuit of the mysteries hidden in the world.

Voice actor Ikumi Hasegawa will play the protagonist, Crim (Kou Mitsuki). The staff has also been announced: Koichi Hatsumi serves as director, Seiko Takagi as series script supervisor, Masashi Kudo as character designer, and Yuki Hayashi as composer, with animation production by Voil.

The newly unveiled visual shows Crim arriving in the game world with the magic weapon "Shadow Light Weapon" in hand. The teaser PV, meanwhile, offers an early look at anime footage that hints at the opening of a grand story, along with voice work and scenes of Crim awakening in the unknown VRMMORPG world, heart racing with anticipation for the adventure ahead.
