Ghibli Park, which marks its fourth anniversary on Sunday, November 1, held its "Valley of Witches & Mononoke Village Twilight Opening" on Friday, October 30. At Valley of Witches, a lighting ceremony was held for the Winter Illumination, which began the same day.
Furthermore, winter-only Winter Decorations are on display at Ghibli's Grand Warehouse, Valley of Witches, and other areas. Visitors can enjoy Ghibli Park in its wintertime look, which is available only for a limited time.
Winter Illumination and Winter Decorations
At the "Valley of Witches & Mononoke Village Twilight Opening" on Friday, October 30, Valley of Witches and Mononoke Village extended their opening hours until 19:00, revealing a nighttime world lit up in a way that looks very different from the daytime.
The illumination that began lighting up at the entrance to Valley of Witches is an original display themed on "poisonous plants," fitting for Valley of Witches. It is lit during Ghibli Park's opening hours. In addition, Winter Decorations are on display for the winter season only at Ghibli's Grand Warehouse. The new decorations near the central staircase use vivid feathers and plants, and, fitting for Ghibli's Grand Warehouse, where subtropical plants and Japanese and Western-style buildings blend together, they somehow evoke a warm country.
From mid-November, decorations that give a wintry feel can also be found at Hill of Youth and other areas, for the winter season only. Both the Winter Illumination and the Winter Decorations are available for a limited time until early February 2027 (the end date may change).
