"MahoPri 2" is a sequel to "Witchy Precure!" which aired in 2016, depicting events several years after the conclusion of the previous series. The story follows 20-year-old Mirai Asahina and 19-year-old Riko Izayoi, now university students, as they learn of a new crisis threatening both the Magical World and the Non-Magical World, transforming once again into Precure.

Episode 6 "The True Purpose"
[Synopsis]
The image seen by Mirai, Riko, and Mofurun was a continuation of the vision Mirai had seen earlier, where Precure lay defeated in the wilderness. According to Ail, the realization of that vision is set to occur the next day. The following day, in an effort to change that future, Mirai and the others decide to leave Hisui in the Non-Magical World and head to the Magical World. However, during their journey, they are confronted by Ail. Transforming into Precure, the two face off against a monster resembling a magic school, created by Ail. They battle with a strong will to change the future, but when Hisui arrives, the future Mirai and the others had foreseen unfolds mercilessly... Although they manage to defeat the magic school monster, Cure Miracle and Cure Magical collapse from exhaustion. Taking advantage of this, Ail uses Hisui's body to resurrect Kotoha and commands the monster known as the Time Beast Chronoust to petrify himself.
