Satoru Gojo (CV: Yuichi Nakamura) was supposed to be the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, even if he was hopelessly flashy. Watching Gojo being beaten to a pulp and sinking into a sea of blood must have left many fans in disbelief.
In the episode "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" depicting Gojo's student days, Gojo comes face to face with Toji Fushiguro (CV: Takehito Koyasu), who is known as the "Sorcerer Killer." With unparalleled strength, Gojo is a prodigy born into the Gojo family, one of the three great jujutsu families, inheriting the family's unique technique "Limitless Cursed Technique" and the rare trait "Six Eyes," which hasn't appeared for hundreds of years.
On the other hand, Toji, who is naturally devoid of cursed energy, is blessed with superhuman physical abilities due to his Heavenly Restriction. He receives a contract to assassinate Riko Amanai (CV: Anna Nagase), known as the "Star Plasma Vessel," and ends up confronting Gojo, who is on a mission to protect Amanai.
The duel between Gojo and Toji begins when Gojo, caught off guard by Toji's stratagem, is ambushed from behind. Gojo is continually perplexed by Toji, who possesses no cursed energy, and Toji, with his superhuman physical prowess, keeps Gojo at bay. Eventually, Toji, who consistently overwhelms Gojo, gets behind him and thrusts the special-grade cursed tool, the Inverted Spear of Heaven, into Gojo's neck. Toji, showing no mercy, continues to slash Gojo's body.
Gojo collapses, spewing an enormous amount of blood. After Toji departs, Gojo's blood-soaked, motionless body lies on the ground.
