[Synopsis]
"A strange court lady is laughing while catching bugs." Such a rumor spreads within the inner palace, and Maomao finds herself under suspicion. To clear the misunderstanding, she tracks down the source of the rumor, Shisui, and listens to her story. By chance, she witnesses the Empress Dowager, Lady Anshi, heading toward the clinic. Though curious about the purpose of her visit, Maomao reluctantly returns to the Jade Palace. Later that evening, the Empress Dowager surprisingly visits her. The Empress Dowager then asks Maomao, "Did I curse the former emperor?" and commissions an investigation related to the late emperor.
