Could It Have Been Just a Dream... "The Apothecary Diaries" Jinshi's Big Misunderstanding Fueled by Jealousy

Just how much does Jinshi (voiced by Takeo Otsuka) like Maomao (voiced by Aoi Yuki)...? Usually, Jinshi enjoys teasing Maomao, but in episode 8 of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries," he finds himself in an unusual state of shock and confusion due to a misunderstanding related to Maomao's words and actions.

In episode 8, Maomao used the hairpin she received from the military officer, Rihaku (voiced by Kenji Akabane), at the garden party to return home. When Maomao returned to the harem, she was summoned to the reception room by a rather disgruntled Jinshi. The hairpin given at the garden party had meanings of appeal and courtship, as it was their favorite. The hairpin from Rihaku was more like an obligation, but Jinshi was clearly jealous, assuming that Maomao had accepted Rihaku's courtship.
