The Mysterious Shadow Was Not a Ghost! Chiikawa and Hachiware Apologize for Their Rash Actions, While the Usagi Reacts in a Super Laid-back Manner Saying, "Huh?"

In episode 99 of the anime "Chiikawa," Chiikawa (voiced by Haruka Aoki) and Hachiware (voiced by Makoto Tanaka) encounter a mysterious phenomenon where they see the shadow of a Usagi with three ears (voiced by Ari Ozawa) and hear a sped-up singing voice. Determined to face this enigma, they decide to confront it armed with a sasumata.

In episode 100, Chiikawa and Hachiware muster the courage to open the door and attack the mysterious shadow with their sasumata. As expected, the shadow turns out to be the Usagi. It is revealed that what appeared to be extra ears were actually chocolate chip snacks. The loud knocking sound was merely because the Usagi was knocking with its foot while its hands were occupied, and the sped-up singing was simply the Usagi singing normally.

After realizing their mistake, Chiikawa and Hachiware apologize for attacking with the sasumata, to which the Usagi responds with a nonchalant "Huh?" showing no particular anger and maintaining its laid-back demeanor. This scene drew comments such as "Chiikawa and Hachiware are such good kids for apologizing sincerely" and "The Usagi is just too cute." There was also relief that it wasn't a supernatural phenomenon and that it was just the Usagi behind the door.
