![[Photos/Images] Even the impressive Tsukasa takes a heavy hit... The 11th episode of the anime "Medalist", based on a popular figure skating manga that has swept manga awards, has been airing in stages since March 15th. The sharp-tongued character, Rio Sonidori (voiced by Makoto Koichi), even causes significant damage to the always positive Tsukasa Akeuraji (voiced by Takeo Otsuka), eliciting laughter from viewers with comments such as "Sharp as a tack" and "A master of retorts".
Rio, a fifth-grader, harbors twisted feelings inside, and tends to act arrogantly towards those he does not trust. He has not opened up to Tsukasa, his coach, and in Episode 11 "Dance the Night", Rio's sharp tongue is unleashed on Tsukasa.
At the training camp, the two coincidentally meet in the bath. In response to Tsukasa's constant concern, Rio coldly responds, "You don't have to worry about me so much." He then follows up with, "Besides, why are you so muscular?" and finishes him off with, "I think you're better suited to building your muscles than being a skater." Even the usually bright and positive Tsukasa was quite shocked by these words.
