Episode 1 "YAIBA Appears"
[Synopsis]
Yaiba Kurogane aims to become a true samurai and spends his days training in the jungle with his father, Kenjuro. By chance, they encounter a tiger named Kagetora in the jungle and return to Japan, where they stay with his father's friend, the Mine family. The Mine family's daughter, Sayaka, is initially bewildered by the unruly Yaiba but begins living with him. One day, Yaiba visits Sayaka's school with her and has a fateful encounter with Takeshi Onimaru, a skilled kendo practitioner.
