No Confidence in the Auditions!? But "With These Five, I Might Be Able to Do My Best!"

Here, everyone looked back on when they were cast. In fact, for this work, their acceptance was surprisingly announced with all five together. Mikawa shared that during the audition, she struggled to grasp Satsuki's character, but now that they've finished recording all episodes, "People tell me I fit Sacchan's role perfectly, and I've found commonalities myself," indicating a deeper understanding of Satsuki. She expressed hope to the audience that as the story of "mono" progresses, Satsuki's good points will increasingly come across.

Koga recalled how happy she was to share the joyful moment of the acceptance announcement with everyone. Regarding her role, she keenly captured An's character: "An-chan really loves Sacchan, her life revolves around Sacchan to the point that when she decides something, she acts immediately. But she's unexpectedly aware of her surroundings too." She then made the audience laugh with a playful comment reminiscent of An: "I also wanted to eat hineri-age! (laughs)"

Tono said that Sakurako has a different kind of elusiveness compared to Satsuki, making the role both challenging and interesting to play. "From the audition, I was considering how far to extend this character's range. So when I was chosen, I felt excited like 'They're entrusting me with this! I'll definitely bring out her charm as much as I can!' and also felt a sense of responsibility," she reflected.

In contrast to these three, Ueda and Kawase revealed that they were surprised to be chosen. Ueda was so shocked to get the role of Haruno that she said, "I couldn't believe I got the Haruno role, I was so flustered." She confessed that during the audition, she couldn't put together all the various directions given within the time limit and felt no confidence. However, while thinking she needed to understand Haruno more, interacting with everyone at the acceptance announcement made her think, "With these five people, I might be able to do my best!" She then appealed with a "Love" heart gesture with her fingers.

Following Koga's earlier comment about wanting to eat hineri-age, Ueda added to it, prompting Kawase to joke, "Was that a hineri-age pose (instead of a heart)?" About the four making heart gestures, she revealed, "It's always like this during voice recording too (laughs)," giving a glimpse behind the scenes.

Kawase also shared that during the audition, she had created Hanako with a slightly lower tone than now. However, when given direction like "It could be higher," she expressed doubt about whether she could do it. In the final audition, she was asked to introduce herself in her natural tone, and being fifth to speak, she took advantage of the order to give a spirited model answer based on the four others' Q&A. "Maybe that feeling was Hanako-like?" she said, sharing this behind-the-scenes story of the audition.
