The Anime "The Apothecary Diaries" has released the non-credit opening by Mrs. GREEN APPLE "Kusushiki" and the non-credit ending by Omoinotake "Hitorigoto".

The non-credit video clips of the OP theme "Kusushiki" by Mrs. GREEN APPLE and the ED theme "Hitorigoto" by Omoinotake for the second season's second cour of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries" have been unveiled.

"The Apothecary Diaries" is an anime based on the novel of the same name by Hyuganatsu. The story unfolds in the imperial harem, where a young girl named Maomao, who is an apothecary and a "poison taster", uses her knowledge of poisons and medicines to solve various difficult cases that occur within the palace. It's a harem mystery entertainment. It has also been turned into a manga in two monthly magazines, "Big Gangan" (Square Enix) and "Sunday GX" (Shogakukan), and the series has reached a total of over 40 million copies in circulation.

The TV anime series was aired continuously for two cours starting from October 2023. The detective dramas led by Maomao, who has an unusual love for poisons, and the comical exchanges between Maomao and the handsome eunuch, Jinshi, have gained popularity, even achieving the top spot in X Trend. The second season started airing continuously for two cours from January 10, 2025 (Friday), and it continues to gain more and more momentum.

Unveiling of the Non-Credit Opening Theme "Kusushiki" for Season 2, Second Cour

The second cour of Season 2 begins with the series of deaths of the Emperor's children by white poison, followed by the suspicious deaths of high-ranking officials and the incident at the ritual where Jinshi's life was targeted, and the disappearance of the suspect, Suirei. All these events from the past connect and are said to be revealed in this cour. The opening sequence is sprinkled with various hints about the story.
