—— What aspects did you want to express with this cosplay?

Ryune: I aimed to express that dark world of 'Tokyo Ghoul' as if it had leaped from the two-dimensional into any background situation.

—— Specifically, what parts did you pay attention to?

Ryune: I perceive 'Tokyo Ghoul' as quite a dark work, and I found it challenging to express with ordinary makeup. Typically, eye makeup using pink, brown, or red to brighten the area around the eyes is common, but in my case, I used black, dark brown, and red. By using black, I tried to bring it closer to the unique world of 'Tokyo Ghoul'.

There are other points I focused on, but I put the most effort into the area around the eyes in this way.

—— Ken Kaneki is your favorite anime character, but do you have a strong attachment to him outside of cosplay activities as well?

Ryune: To be straightforward, I've watched the entire 'Tokyo Ghoul' anime about four times. The world of the work and the character's lines are really intriguing, and I still watch the manga and anime for quality improvement. Besides that, I also attended a 'Tokyo Ghoul' exhibition that was held recently!
