The currently streaming "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" anime is based on the manga serialized in "Weekly Shōnen Sunday," written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. Set in the world following the defeat of the Demon King, it follows the story of Frieren, a magician who has lived for over 1,000 years as she embarks on a journey to understand humans. The original manga, highly acclaimed and awarded, boasts over 24 million copies in circulation as of volume 14. Additionally, the second season of the TV anime is set to air starting in January 2026.
