The scene prompted numerous comments about Takina's expressions such as, "Takina secretly wearing the first uniform and getting excited is insanely cute...," and "I love both the expression when she got caught by Sakura and when she threatened her." Fans also reflected on the relationship between the characters, stating, "Isn't this action caused by possessiveness towards Chisato?" and "Takina acting like this is due to Chisato's influence."

"Lycoris Recoil" (commonly known as LycoReco) is an original anime produced by A-1 Pictures that aired from July to September 2022. It follows the story of elite Chisato Nishikigi, said to be the strongest in history, and the talented but complicated Takina Inoue, and their activities as agents of the secret organization "DA (Direct Attack)" that prevents crime beforehand. Besides the new short movies, "Lycoris Recoil Friends are thieves of time.," the production of a new anime is also underway.
