Chiikawa's Joyful Sliding! The Wait for Sukiyaki with Friends Grows in Episode 112 of "Chiikawa"

In episode 112 of the anime "Chiikawa," Chiikawa (voiced by Haruka Aoki) wins a sukiyaki set in a prize drawing and expresses her overwhelming joy by sliding headfirst in celebration.

In episode 111, Chiikawa had enlisted the help of Hachiware (voiced by Makoto Tanaka) and Usagi (voiced by Ari Ozawa) to eat some pudding so she could apply for the sukiyaki set prize together. The following episode 112 begins with a scene of Chiikawa running while carrying a cardboard box. Chiikawa slides headfirst towards Hachiware and Usagi to happily share the news.

The reason for Chiikawa’s exuberant display of emotion was that she had actually won the sukiyaki set she applied for. When she opened the cardboard box in front of Hachiware and Usagi, there was a message saying "Congratulations on winning" along with the sukiyaki set itself. Imagining the three of them enjoying the meal together, Chiikawa raised both hands and exclaimed, "Ooh!" Hachiware responded excitedly, "Whaaat!? Is it really okay!?" while Usagi also cheered and waved, exclaiming, "Pururuu!"

Many viewers reacted to this scene, saying things like, "She must have been really happy to go sliding and get all muddy like that..." and "Chiikawa-chan is expressing maximum joy by throwing herself into a 'zuzazaa' sliding move." Fans also expressed anticipation for the close friends’ sukiyaki party, saying things like, "I hope all three eat lots of meat!"
