The special commemorative exhibition for the movie advance version "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-" is being held at Anime Tokyo Station starting from Saturday, May 24.
"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is the latest installment in the long-running "Mobile Suit Gundam" series that began in 1979. The story follows Amate Yuzuriha (voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa), a high school girl living peacefully in a space colony, who gets caught up in the illegal mobile suit dueling competition known as "Clan Battle" after meeting a mysterious girl named Nyaan (voiced by Yui Ishikawa). Co-produced by Studio Khara, known for the "Rebuild of Evangelion" movies, and Sunrise, the film version, released in January ahead of the upcoming TV series, became a huge hit, grossing over 3.34 billion yen at the box office.
