—With its theme, “2.5 Dimensional Seduction” seems very popular among cosplayers. Could you tell us how you first encountered the series, what attracts you to it, and who your favorite characters are?

Tsuda: Even before the anime began airing, “2.5 Dimensional Seduction” was already being talked about among cosplayers, so I immediately read the original manga, too. Since the story is about cosplay, there are so many relatable elements as well as a great plot, and above all, all the characters are just so adorable…!

At first, when I started reading the manga, I was drawn to the protagonist, Lilysa, but after seeing the anime, hearing the voice actresses, and watching the characters move in color, my feelings changed completely and I became totally obsessed with Mikari-chan…!

Of course, she looks super cute as Miriella, but I fell even more in love with the way she’s so devoted and earnest in her feelings for Okumura-senpai, as well as her little tsundere moments. She’s now my number one favorite character in “2.5 Dimensional Seduction”!

At the beginning, all the characters in the series have different reasons for starting cosplay, but through cosplay they experience new encounters and personal growth—there are so many touching scenes. It’s a work I love so much, and I hope even people who aren’t familiar with cosplay culture will give it a try!

—Are there any cosplays you’d like to try in the future?

Tsuda: I’d love to continue cosplaying from “2.5 Dimensional Seduction” as much as I can, but I also want to challenge myself with various cosplays from different genres.
