Cygames’ New Anime “Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show” Premieres July 1! VTuber Ryushen from Nijisanji Performs Theme Song, Additional Cast Announced [With Comments]

Cygames’ original TV anime “Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show” is set to premiere on Tuesday, July 1 at 23:30. Ahead of the broadcast, the key visual, main promotional video, theme song artists, and additional cast have been revealed.

With the catchphrase “In this world (game), the craziest one wins!?”, the story unfolds as a death game between humanity and eldritch gods, set in a VR game world. This cosmic horror features characters inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos.

The newly released key visual is a dynamic illustration depicting the protagonist, Miko, surrounded by eldritch gods. In the main PV, the opening theme song can be heard for the first time: “Kakushōron” by VTuber artist Ryushen, while the ending theme is “PANDORA feat. Noa (from Colorful Peach)” by Vell. Both artists have shared their thoughts and comments on the songs and the anime.

Additionally, new cast members have been announced, including Manaka Iwami as Cthulhu / Mayu Mayusaka, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Hastur, Katsuyuki Konishi as Ghatanothoa, and Ayasa Itō as Gua.
