The next segment, “Who’s On Bottom!? Namikawa & Yashiro: The Battle,” featured the two hosts taking on a variety of physical challenges.
The first battle was the “Squid vs. Octopus Game,” where they flipped cards with squid and octopus illustrations to try and complete more of their chosen motif. Namikawa chose “squid,” Yashiro chose “octopus,” and a fierce tug-of-war over the cards unfolded. The heated match left the hosts out of breath, with Yashiro, who chose “octopus,” taking the victory. Namikawa commented, “This is even more exhausting than last week’s ‘headis’!”
Next was the “Shaky Champagne Tower Showdown.” Standing one-footed on a vibrating machine, the contestants had to see how long they could keep a champagne tower steady in their hands without it collapsing. As this challenge tested their sense of balance, Yashiro struggled, saying, “Standing on one foot is unexpectedly tough,” while Namikawa commented, “Wow, this really hits you…!” Namikawa, having gotten the hang of it, won this round.
The following battle was the “10 Meter Toilet Paper Speed Winding Challenge.” Wearing cat ears, the two contestants frantically wound up toilet paper in a unique competition. Yashiro showed incredible speed and won by a landslide, prompting Namikawa to exclaim, “You should seriously make this a profession.” The studio burst into laughter, and Namikawa remarked, “It’s such a shame you can’t fully appreciate this awesomeness just through the video.” At this point, Yashiro had two wins and Namikawa one, giving Yashiro a larger lead.
In the next “Ball Catch Challenge,” the contestants overlapped their hands on top of each other and competed to see who could instantaneously catch a dropped ball, putting their reflexes to the test. As their concentration and reaction time were tried, everyone wondered who would come out on top.
Finally, the contest shifted to the ultimate test of stamina, the “Speed Rag-Wiping Race.” Wearing slippers and wiping the floor with a rag back and forth to compete for the best time, Namikawa groaned, “It’s been 35 years,” and “This is difficult,” but gave it his all. The results of this fiercely contested match became a highlight of the episode.
Will the “Junior Love” Continue This Week? “Which One is Taku’s? The Eight Choices Quiz”

The final segment was the “Which One is Taku’s? Eight Choices Quiz.” This time’s theme was “Which TV drama does Yashiro like?” Yashiro admitted, “I didn’t have a habit of watching TV dramas until high school,” making it a tough challenge to deduce the correct answer from the options given.
Namikawa, muttering, “Can I use viewer comments as hints?” tackled the challenge seriously. He tried to read Yashiro’s expression, asking, “Is your favorite drama XX?”, but couldn’t quite hit the mark. Missing again and again, he was finally left with two choices. “This is really difficult! And for some reason, it’s super embarrassing,” he said, laughing.
You can watch the fierce and energetic face-off between Namikawa and Yashiro on the show’s catch-up streaming.
