The voices of cheering fans echo in front of Kaihin-Makuhari Station. Miku, a girl with a gloomy expression, receives a leaflet and stops in her tracks. If they win, it’s their first ever entry into the Climax Series! Tonight, the Motarsuns will play the match of destiny for their first historic achievement. The fans, players, stadium staff, and even the players’ associates are all restlessly waiting, fired up that “this will be the night history is made.” The players dash out onto the field, gazed at by those praying for victory.
Their opponents are the Fukuoka Sticks, tied for third place. At the top of the second inning, the Sticks’ cleanup batter scores first against the Motarsuns. The game has only just begun. Yet, the drama has already started to unfold!
