“YAIBA Samurai Legend” is based on Gosho Aoyama’s manga, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday (Shogakukan) from 1988 to 1993. The story follows the wild child Yaiba Kurogane, who aspires to be a true samurai and trains in the jungle. It all begins with his fateful encounter with the skilled kendo practitioner Takeshi Onimaru (voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya). A TV anime adaptation aired in the 1990s, and this is the first new anime adaptation in 31 years.
Episode 10: “The Arrival of the Onimaru Four Heavenly Kings”
[Synopsis]
After rigorous training, Yaiba learns his new special move, “Thunder Slash,” and finally storms Onimaru Castle. He slashes through the black demons guarding the castle, pressing forward, but just as he approaches Onimaru, him and his friends are separated and dropped to the castle’s depths by Spider Man’s scheme. Awaiting them there are landscapes unimaginable inside a castle, as well as new minions prepared by Onimaru—the Onimaru Four Heavenly Kings.
