Currently streaming all at once, the anime "The Apothecary Diaries" is an adaptation of the light novel of the same name by Natsu Hyuuga. The series has also been adapted into manga across two monthly magazines, with total circulation surpassing 40 million copies. The TV anime aired for two consecutive cours starting in October 2023, gaining widespread attention for its compelling mystery narrative featuring Maomao, who works as a food taster in the rear palace, as well as the comical interactions between Maomao and Jinshi (CV: Takeo Ōtsuka). The second season of the anime has been airing since January 2025.
