■New Cast: Hiroki Yasumoto & Kana Hanazawa! Advance Screening Event with Stage Greetings Also Announced

Additionally, it has been revealed that Hiroki Yasumoto will play Eiji Hasegawa, the First Division Vice Captain, and Kana Hanazawa will play Rin Shinonome, the Platoon Leader.

Yasumoto commented, “He is a tough and dependable man, but at the same time he understands younger, talented members like Captain Narumi. I think he is a truly wonderful man. Furthermore, an advance screening event with stage greetings will be held at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya on Sunday, July 13, ahead of the first broadcast. In addition to the screening of episodes 1 and 2, there will be stage greetings from cast members. Scheduled to appear on stage are Asami Seto as Mina Ashiro, Kengo Kawanishi as Sōshirō Hoshina, Kōki Uchiyama as Gen Narumi, and Hiroki Yasumoto as Eiji Hasegawa.

■Season 2 Streaming to Begin on ABEMA

On ABEMA, a special episode “Hoshina’s Day Off” will stream from 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 5. The latest episodes of Kaiju No.8 Season 2 will then be available for a limited time for free, as well as unlimited streaming, every Saturday from 11:30 p.m. starting July 19.
